Unfortunately, there isn't much allegiance among libertarians. I tend to think that the lack of coordinated libertarian efforts is a direct result of libertarian ideology.

So under your thinking Obama is lying when he says he will reduce the debt, the same mindset that tells you he (or Bush) can't do anything as President about social spending or the Patriot Act would mean he can't touch the debt either.

I don't know anything about this institute. It sounds like a good thing.
But how many people will be effected by this information? I don't have much hope because I know unless the masses only listen to the tv set. Not many people put a lot of effort into enlightening themselves.

the more technology we get the more it scares me, i firmly believe that they know just about everything about all of us. the sad part is people do not seem to care as a whole.

I would be afraid to know all the capabilities they have to monitor communications. Internet, cell phone, etc.

More than one would think. Thirty years ago, a grad student wanting to study Austrian economics would have a hard time finding texts, let alone a professor. Now any interested layman can access the texts, or pay a small fee to take a more comprehensive course on a particular subject.
The LvMI (and Ron Paul) have taken the Austro-libertarian movement from the depths of the 60's and 70's, when they were maybe a dozen (probably fewer) economists or political philosophers even familiar with casual-realist economics, to today, where the youth interest is absolutely exploding.

I have heard some crazy stuff, about being able to use the gps on your phone when it is turned off, recording while it is off, seeing what you are doing through your web cam etc etc
