It is really sad that La Tech turned down the opportunity to have a game with great regional appeal and lots of fun just because they are Tech.

Sounds like the Tech Athletic Department doesn't have their story straight yet either.

There's no problem with aiming high, but when you burn bridges (we're too good/prestigious to play sun belt schools) then you can expect everyone else to laugh at you.

I just want to congratulate ULM for a great season. Could care less about Tech. It's a shame for their fans that they don't see the value of this game. We'll enjoy shreveport all the more without them.

Do any ULM fans know if any of the six or seven starters lost to injury will make it back for the Indy Bowl? Thanks.
ULM has had an incredible year when you account for all the starters they've lost over the course of the season. If Browning doesn't go down for two games they would have at least one more win.....over OoLALA.

To sassyav regarding where I got my information and you called me out over it. Now that it's over, I can now tell you and the other Tech fans that my information is first hand because I serve on a Bowl Selection Committee. There were statements made on the MSB by Tech fans that were completely not true and I tried to tell you that. I feel horrible for the Seniors on the team. The egos of a few people in Ruston caused this and there was no reason for that. I have been a member of TD for a long time and don't post much. However, I will not hesitate to post when I see statements that are outright false, which I saw last night. Again, I feel horrible for the Players, they deserve much better from the AD.

So you are saying the Tech AD contacted the Indy bowl last Thursday night about an invite, but when told they would have to play ULM they declined?
If so then the story from the Tech AD saying that they asked the Indy Bowl for more time on Saturday is false... ?
