Have never been and was driving by it today so we decided to give it a shot. Walked in and everyone eating was Chinese so I knew it was going to be good. They only give the table 1 menu which is kinda weird but whatever. The menu has pics of every item which was pretty helpful. We ordered a bunch of different stuff and was really pleased with everything.
We got
Steamed Cha Siu Bao- fresh buns stuffed with bbq pork. LL really liked these but I wasnt a big fan. Not exactly my idea of chinese food. Too doughy for my taste.
Steamed spare ribs- marinated ribs with black beans and peppers. The dish was pretty good and the jalapenos were hot as hell but it wasnt really that much food. Although I think it was only like $4.
Spring rolls- They were fried and very good. Stuffed with pork, veggies, and shrimp. Was funny because they kind of look like dog bones(you get it? haha at the chinese place haha. dumb)
Fried shrimp balls- These were awesome and something that I would probably get every time I go. Its basically just shrimp mushed up and battered and fried. Simple but really good.
Jellyfish salad- I got this because I always like to try something strange/new at foreign places. It was jellyfish marinated with salt and pepper and some sesame oil. Was actually kind of crunchy which I wasnt expecting. I couldnt figure it out at first but it tastes exactly like a seaweed salad at Japanese restaurants.
Singapore Style Vermicelli-Thin rice noodle stir-fried w/ shrimp, roasted pork & green pepper in curry. This dish was great and big enough to be a meal by itself. Im a sucker for anything vermicelli so this was my favorite dish.
So yea thats everything we got and I gotta say the place is very good and would definitely recommend it. Oh and whats with the manners of Chinese people? Holy crap some eat like slobs. Being able to hear people eat at other tables ughhhhhh
UPDATE 2nd trip:
Went back again and decided to try some new things along with an item from the first trip
Shrimp balls-1 word. Awesome
Ha Gow-fresh shrimp dumplings. Very good but could use a sauce to go with it. I just dipped it into some other food.
Pan-fried potstickers-stuffed with pork and shrimp. Very good size and sauce to go with it.
These 3 items are definite go-to dishes now. Onto the next 2
Pan Fried Noodles w/vegetables-tastes good but I prefer the noodles to be soft. They do give a lot of sauce in it so the noodles to get soft while you eat.

Stewed chicken feet with Chinese spices-I was wary to get it but someone in here suggested it so I ordered it. Its an odd dish. I dont know how they cook it but it is pretty mushy around the ends of the feet. You basically just put it in your mouth and naw on the meat around the bones. The first piece broke up too much and it was me picking bones out of my mouth every 3 seconds. The second bite didnt include the "toes" so it was much better. The only thing I didnt like is that it kinda tastes how a chickens foot smells. Here is a pic of the dish

Ummmm...the slurping sounds which are entirely appropriate and an accepted way to eat Eastern food, especially when hot broth is involved?

Psh.. Like you'd show up anyway ;)
Most lunch calls are last minute for us. When we got there, I was mad I didn't invite my friend who is Chinese.

Lunch was $34 after 5-6 dishes, a soft drink, a pot of tea, and tax.
Blows the $50 Ninfas ripoff I got suckered into last week out of the water.

Old folk like me learn to eat less and exercise more so we can still drink. If not, we get fat.

The funny thing is we actually can't. We order a ton of shite because we have spending problems. We bring most food home.

They bring out that menu with a bunch of $4 items, and you assume they are smaller than they are. At least that's my excuse. I'm already a lot to love.

Oh I wish you would not publicize this! That particular hidden jewel is one of my favorite things in that part of town!! Shhhhhh!
