I've heard good things about these. I have the S4i earbuds and the sound is amazing.
These have two drivers, a 40 mm for bass and mids, and a 15 mm for highs. It's a little more than you want to spend at 349.99, but worth a look.

350 seems like a lot to drop on headphones

Although this is an audiophile thread so I should expect the ridiculous here

I got these a few months back. For $99.99 they are probably the best I've had, and I've had Skullcandy and Sony over the head and Bose in ear.

I love Skullcandy. I've got a pair of the aviators and they look and sound great.

I love skullcandy because I've had 3 pairs of them all for basically free.

one pair came with Entourage season 4 DVD, and I paid 15 bucks for a groupon for 2 more pair

My damn dog chewed up the ones I liked the most though

Bose Noise Cancelling Quiet Comfort 15's. $299. Expensive, but worth every penny. Trust me on this. The Beats headphones are overpriced garbage.

I think it's pretty funny that my mp3 player cost under $25 and my headphones were $150.

Of course I'm notorious for wearing $160 slacks and a $20 shirt.

re: Headphone Audophiles: Need Advice

So since I don't want to start another thread, does anyone have any good experiences with some over the ear bluetooth headphones?

I recently got some and they're ok but they fit around the back of the neck and my big arse ears make it a little uncomfortable

virtually all the major brands have incorporated a bluetooth model in their over ear product lines nowadays, and often with identical specs to one of their mid-range non-wireless models, so it really comes down to your preference among those.

Try Grado - definitely within your budget, and they make great stuff for the money:

lol grado's are even more expensive than senn's.

top tier: grado, ultrasone, denon

then senn, pioneer, sony, shure, AKG, and AudioTechnica...i wouldn't buy anything else

Bit rate's the same whether you have the headphones to hear it right or not.

The OP mentioned that his budget is $300 tops.

The Grados below are $100, and there are plenty more in the same line to choose from. Have you ever owned any yourself?

Sennheiser HD-280 Pro.

about $100, fill all your requirements, are comfortable, and have great passive noise reduction. And sound great.
