I'm in Bossier and will try to find out more. But I know one thing for sure. Any educator with an EDD who demands he/she be addressed as "Doctor" is a POS.

She's going to get fired. Why couldn't Live Oak's band play at halftime? They travel 4 hours to the game and deserve to play at half. Dr. Powertrip should respect other schools. Every other playoff game in the state has both teams playing at halftime. The Denham Springs-West Monroe bands played together.

Don't know if this will happen or not. I haven't heard of the Bossier Parish School Board or the Superintendant addressing the issue at all just yet. But I suspect that they might have been waiting on the LHSAA hearing first.
By the way, I heard this afternoon that the LHSAA ruling on playoffs includes all sports, not just football. Anyone here know if that's the case?

She is a good principal- period.
She will not get fired.
Bossier Parish will pay up and things will go on.
What a freaking waste of money.
He should have got his a** off the field.

Why should the football coach not be allowed to warm up his team before the game? Every high school team in the state warms up until 6:45 or 6:50.
Please teach me why Dr. Authority thinks the playoffs are a good time to make an opposing team change their routine.
Fact is, she panicked because she saw the Live Oak band wasn't performing, and she knew she would look bad if they traveled four hours to a game and weren't allowed to perform. All other high school playoff games had both bands play at HALFTIME.

I've heard she's very difficult to deal with from people in the bossier school system. I think she's ok, but parkway is successful because of demographics, not mrs bourgeois. She seems to be very impressed with herself and makes people below her in the school system bow and scrape.
That is not a characteristic of a good leader, nor a good example for the students at Parkway.

I don't think she panicked because the band deal. I think she got pissed because the parkway coach ok'd the fb team using LO band time without her approval. In addition to making LO respect her authority she had to slap the parkway coach down as well.

I've never heard of any principal in the state having the opposing coach handcuffed for something like this, so hard to say her being a female increases the uproar. I don't know how she deals with students, so I can't say she's a bad principal. But I do know she is hard/unreasonable with subordinates.
The main deal is that she is in a position of leadership. A true leader/manager could have kept this situation from escalating in the manner that it did. She failed horribly and showed her arse in a public manner.
It will be interesting to see if the bossier parish admins step in to plead for the kids on the punishment.

She may be a good principal but this was a really poor decision. There was no reason for her to act as she did as the LHSAA stated. Parkway kids are getting punished (no home playoff game next year) for her poor behavior and that shouldn't ever happen. This isn't over yet either. Obviously another lawsuit coming.
