than when I use CMD? I get around 120 using speedtest but pretty much around 65 using the Dos screen to test my ping. What is the discrepency here?

It has to do with the server you are pinging, if the server you are pinging is farther away = higher ping. So with speedtest the server they are using is more than likely farther away from your access point than the one being used on the DOS screen.

So the real question is: What IP are you pinging in CMD?

I live outside of NO and ping Slidell. I get 20-22 each time.

We all know you have a terrible connection Broke. Cox or Charter?

Depends on what server you ping, how far it is, what connections it has to travel through. Then there's also the fact that when you're using speedtest.net you are using their software located at another site vs pinging straight from your PC. There are so many variables the only real answer for this is: there is likely no concrete answer
