On the Capital One Bowl official website, only four teams are mentioned/shown as being possible candidates: Nebraska, Michigan, LSU, and A&M.

Where will the SEC title loser go, I wonder?

LSU or A&M will probably get the Cotton.

Alabama wins - Georgia to Outback, LSU to Cotton, South Carolina to Chick-fil-a

I think A&M goes to the Capital One either way.

Georgia did play in the Outback last year, so that might drop them to the Chick-fil-a, and bump South Carolina to the Outback.

Cap1 is a&m vs Michigan (unless Nebraska loses)
Outback is USC vs Northwestern (unless Nebraska loses)

LSU cotton if Bama wins (Georgia to CFA)
LSU CFA if Georgia wins (Bama to cotton)

A&M is going to end up in Orlando. It's either Dallas or Atlanta for us.

On the website, it also says that Northwestern, UGA, and Alabama are also possible teams that could play in Cap 1.

these four very well may be the opponent of the seccg loser. also, guaranteed ticket sales may also be a factor.

How does a top 10 BCS team not go to a BCS bowl? Should be the top 10 go to the 5 BCS bowls.

So Car is going to the Outback no matter what. No one will allow a So Car/ Clemson rematch in the CFA when they just played last weekend. Slive has negotiated that the SECCG loser cannot fall past Cotton/Outback. Fla is a lock for the Sugar. Work back from there.

LSU to poultry bowl is the only way it can all work out
