His fab freshman savior season already seems to be imploding and it's not even December. Two players leaving the program, already unranked

His recruiting class is the only thing that saved him last year. If they stink it up again this year, he gone

Who left the program? Any one worth a shite?

Josh Smith, their fat center. Was a big time recruit.

Smith is lazy and doesn't want to put in the hard work to fulfill his athletic potential.
I hope he has a better work ethic in whatever else he decides to pursue in his professional career.

Smith played football for one year in high school. That was very awkward looking. Looked like a giant playing with midgets.

Joshua Smith was a talented fat guy who couldn't get his weight under control. He won't be missed.
Tyler Lamb had promise and was one of the best defensive players on the team. But he could not score and the Bruins need scoring right now.
Howland is an excellent coach. My guess is that by the end of the year he has them playing well.

Sadly somebody will take him in the 2nd rd then he'll eat his way out of the D-league.

He should have been gone Tuesday.

Without looking, can I assume that UCLA lost to a Cal-State directional school or something?

yeah, I think this was/is kind of a do or die year for him.

Howland is a GREAT coach with EXTREMELY bad luck, if UCLA fires him he'll have his choice of top jobs waiting for him.

Josh Smith is the 11th player to leave UCLA early since '08, none of them being draft causalities. Yep, just bad luck.

Seemingly every good player he has recruited the last 5 classes ends up being a diva and leaves. If not extreme bad luck how else can it be explained? I doubt Howland just got really mean and running off great player after making 3 Final Fours.
