Yeah but a casual music listener who doesn't give a shite about music ( Pitbull listeners) don't know who The Sundays are.

Yeah, maybe could have been a bit more known and respected. I don´t think either had a ´body of work´however.

these bands are all pretty well positioned IMO. Waterboys maybe slightly overrated.

How about OVER rated bands? wait, too many of those. I don't think a band should be more popular just because the singer kills himself (Kurt!!) - but Nirvana was still very good.
I just can't think of many underrated ones ATM.

One of my fav bands and they are still going strong today. They headline festivals and arenas in Europe and other places, but play small clubs in the US.

yup. Not nearly enough people know their stuff. So glad I stuck with the comp I bought. It took longer than usual for it to click for me.

I'll add teenage fanclub to my list.

A lot of people just don't care for the noisiness of Dinosaur, Jr. I wasn't very familiar until I learned more about J Mascis through his work with Mew, which I highly recommend.

Yeah, I would have said noise on first listen. A shame I can't get past the noise with most of Sonic Youth
