Tebow was a GREAT college player. Could always make plays and get the extra yards.

1. Orlando Pace
2. LaVar Arrington
3. Randy Moss
4. Warren Sapp
5. Calvin Johnson

There are too many good options at QB or RB for one to be that important.

Walker says frick YOU.

Herschel would be right up top. I had the pleasure of watching Darren McFadden run wild a few times

These two in the same sentence is just...

The game has changed to a degree , BUT If I wanted to win championships on a regular basis??? Walker is THE MAN . He could play TODAY and beat the shite out of people. Barry was a one of a kind player, But Walker put them ALL TO shame.

Georgia lost 0 SEC games with Herschel in the backfield.

Shame that Pace ended up with a bum shoulder. HOF NFL career IMO if he stayed healthy.

Majority of the answers I see suggest that the criteria is best player since 1970, not all time. May I suggest :

Jim Brown
Red Grange
Billy Cannon

Marcus Allen - one of the most naturually talented all around players ever who won all the college awards and the national title.

5,232 total yards from scrimmage in 2 years as a starting tailback and 46 touchdowns. (Barely played frosh, was a great blocking fullback as a sophmore); back-up QB, initially were going to play him at Safety or WR - one of the greatest receiving hands of any back in history.

John Robinson has called Allen, "the greatest player I ever saw."

Gotta say Bo Jackson.

Jerry Rice had sick numbers for a small school.
