Well I hear it from my co-workers, and I work in high tech. They think the republican party is anti-science. It doesn't matter if the party is actually anti-science, they think it.

In addition to the social conservatism millstone, there are gems like this. GOP Rep Lamar Smith, father of SOPA, will chair the House Science, Space, and Technology Committee. As one online commenter said, "this is like making an arsonist the fire chief." LINK

Thoughts on why the creme of the crop tech employees overwhelmingly supported Obama over Romney? I would assume we all can agree that they are not looking for handouts. And do you see this as a legitimate issue for the GOP going forward?

Yeah, the Stanford grads working in Palo Alto and dreaming about billion dollar exits are Marxists. Denial isn't just a river in Africa. I live in the high tech world, have an office in Palo Alto and most of my clients are either tech investors or tech companies. The issue with the Republican party for many tech entrepreneurs is the party's anti-science stance. And you are anti-science when you have candidates who will state with a straight face that they do not believe in evolution.

You are nothing more than a fricking idiot. The democratic electorate and politicians are no less "anti-science+ (idiotic term) than republicans.

You idiots still don't get it - it's social issues! The republicans need to become more libertarian and they will win over these extreme entrepreneurs.
