Weather is right for some higher abv/darker beers. I love stouts but really enjoy them with the colder weather.

Kind of a stout noob as I've only had Brooklyn's Chocolate Stout, Rogue CS, Sierra Nevada's Stout, maybe Stone's RIS and of course Guinness.

Any good recs? Preforably stuff I can get here in LA.

Great stuff, but not available in LA. Ten Fidy is so freaking good.

I love that stuff. One of my favorites. I also had a Founders Breakfast Stout the other day. I'd also recommend that.

I think it's pretty good, but there are others readily available that I like better. Old Raspy is tough to beat. The Stone IRS has aged really well.

Yea, Old Raspy, Stone RIS and Brooklyn BCS are always in my rotation this time of year because they are readily available here.

I am not the best one to answer that, but I hear Stein's has a great selection.

Some of the BR FBD krewe will be at Avenue Pub Saturday.
