I have a date tonight.

Want to have a draft first then a scotch.
Many of the drafts I have had, and I am not going to go for an 8% beer, or Miller etc. so I have eliminated them from contention.

Draft Selection
Abita “Restoration” Pale Ale
Breckenridge Vanilla Porter
Bell’s Best Brown Ale
Crispen Natural Hard Cider
Guinness Stout
Jailhouse “Break-Out” Stout 8%-NO
Lazy Magnolia “Southern Pecan” Ale
Maredsous 10% Dark Belgian Triple Bock-NO
Miller Lite-NO
Monday Night Brewing “Eye-Patch” IPA
Pilsner Urquell
Rogue “Dead Guy” Ale 6.5%
Sierra Nevada Seasonal
Stella Artois
Sweetwater “420” Pale Ale
Tucher Hefeweizen

Scotch selection.

Ardbeg 10Yr
Chivas Regal 12 yr
Glenlivet 12 yr
Glenfiddich 12 yr
Glenmorangie 12 yr
Dimple Pinch 15 yr
Dewars
Macallan 12 yr
Johnny Walker Black

Is this with dinner? If so, what are you having?

For the beer, go with the Sierra Nevada seasonal.

I'd try the Monday Night Brewing IPA, but that's because it would be new to me. Can't go wrong with the Sierra Nevada Seasonal, especially if it's the Celebration Ale. Otherwise probably the Bell's

For scotch, my choice would be Laphroaig, but if you prefer a more subtle flavor try Glenmorangie.

Did you go and scope out their selection to be able to post on the FDB?

Only Dessert is going to see Beauty and the Beast at the Fox Theater.

Remember the old Georgia Satellites song?

Online menu. It's sort of a new thing on the interwebs.

I'm a planner.

Kind of a mixed bag. Shame you don't have a nice Saison on that list

I think I'd go with the Tucher Hefeweizen. It has enough carbination and personality to stand up to spicy dishes and sweetness to go with the salad and shrimp.

As for the Scotch, I'm a Glenlivet man, so I can't give a an unbiased opinion

If you're not a big scotch drinker, Glenmorangie 12 yr is a very easy drinking scotch to get acquainted with IMO.

And I didn't see Schlitz on that list.

That usually impresses a date.

I miss Atl
I'd go with an IPA or the Bells, really can't go wrong with either.

Out of the beers I'd go with Bells (mainly because I've never had it) or the Sierra Nevada Seasonal. The Sweetwater 420 IPA sounds interesting as well...never had it. An IPA would go well with the spicy stuff.

For the Scotch, not much of an expert there so I'd probably go with Johnny Walker.

Sweetwater 420 IPA

An excellent beer. Probably won't choose it since I have had it many times.

They have a nice bottled selection as well, but I only drink draft if I am out. I can have a bottle at home.

It's just a pale ale, not an IPA.

A good solid pale ale, but nothing mind blowing.
