He lost 2 out of 3 of his biggest games. In fact, he was awful in 2 of them - 0 TDs combined, and 3 INTs. Sorry, that is not the stuff of a Heisman QB

This..

I understand he is a freshman and undoubtedly will have a great college career but lets not be too premature.

I have no clue who will actually win it. te'o seems like the obvious choice. Best player on 'best' team. Had a heisman moment when it counted the most.

Really talking about the defensive goal line stands against USC..
I know it was a defensive team effort and not him per se, but i think this will stick out in voters minds

On a related note, i thought TM7 should have won it last year.

lol, if JFF played in the Big 12 he would have about 1,000 more yards and 10 more TDs.

as for the LSU and Florida games he didn't play horrible. Florida he did score once with his feet, LSU he lost a TD to a penalty that had little to do with the play. Also, 2 of those picks vs LSU were not his fault. Bringing them up makes it obvious you didn't pay any attention to the game.

Hell, RG3 and Baylor lost three games last year and two were blowout losses where he didn't play up to his normal standards. Teo is nowhere near being the best defensive player, probably isn't the best LB, and isn't having a historically great year.

Literally the only reason anyone is talking about him is because he plays for an undefeated Notre Dame, a team that pretty much nobody actually believes is the best team in the country.

No it isn't.

I was about to get real mad if Richardson won over RG3 last year.

You are a homer but you are correct.

I'm so tired of seeing him scream in slo-mo after the Oklahoma win. But ESPN will get their wish, he will win the Heisman, and here comes Tom Rinaldi with a heartfelt story about his grandmother and girlfriend.

Enjoy the Heisman, Te'o, your grandmother and girlfriend won't save you from an SEC assraping in Miami.

The only reason people are clamoring so strongly for JFF is because he now plays in the SEC. IF he put up those numbers against Big12 competition, he would just have been a product of a "shitty defensive conference"

RG3 put up huge numbers last year against the Big 12, people clamored for him, and he won. I guess people really discounted him over Trent Richardson last year

JFF became the favorite once his "Heisman Moment" happened in Tuscaloosa. There is no bias in stating the SEC is the best conference - it is a fact.

Hell, if anything, some of the older voters won't vote for JFF because he's only a freshman. That's real bias IMO.

It will stick out, but thats bullshite. Did he even participate in a tackle in those goal line stands?

And that INT was thrown at his stomach. GREAT PLAY MANTI!

If Tyrann Mathieu didn't win the Heisman last year, no way in hell does Manti Teo deserve the Heisman. No fricking way.

RG III was the right choice last year. Didn't Baylor have 3 losses?

Dear God what a homer. Does he get credit for TD's and yardage due to awesome catches by his receivers? Then he's gonna take a hit for throwing all his INT.

His stats vs the 4 defenses that were ranked higher than 30

69% completion for 6.6 ypa 2TD 3INT
18 rushes per game for 4.2 ypc with 2 TD

Vs everyone else(8games, 2 of which are 1-AA)
avg def rank 77(rank doesn't include the 1-AA schools, stats do)

68% completion for 9.7 ypa 22TD 5 INT
14 rushes per game for 7.6 ypc 16 TD's

The bad part is that no one else has seperated themselves form the pack. Its no great travesty if he wins the Heisman its just a really shitty year.

Mathieu had far tougher competition last year than Te'o has this year.

If Mathieu had put up last year's numbers this year, he'd win in a landslide.

Is Te'o really overrated? His stats are pretty damn good and 7 picks for a MLB is fricking beast mode.

Why is the Heisman always relegated to offense?

I base his defense performance over other defensive performances that have been snubbed in the past like Suh. And Te'o's is average. (damn thats a lot of apostrophes)

You realize that if they win the MNC( and considering the game will actually be played it is a very real possibility) you will just have to bite the bullet and admit they are. Regardless if they are in the SEC or not.

Can you vote for Suh this year?
