It was a good film no doubt. Not better than the 2nd one and not better than The Avengers. When Bane drove through the wall street doors

The fact that the main baddie wasn't actually the main baddie in the film is sort of a problem for that film.

Just watched it again....and I agree. I think TDKR is much better than I originally thought.

He's the main baddie. He was the leader of the League of Shadows and he said as much during that first fight with Batman. Talia dying after Bane doesn't make her the main antagonist.

After watching the The Dark Knight Rises for the second time, it's not as great as I remember it.

I disagree with this.

The entire ending of Batman was paint by numbers. It tried to cornhole you with sense depth that was really as deep as the average Bieber tune.

DKR was Bieber trying to be Maynard

Avengers was Justin Timberlake being Justin Timberlake. Sure it was mindless action fare, but that is all it was trying to be.

There is something to say for genuineness.

Except he isn't. . .and he was lying.

Talia was the leader.

This isn't directed at who I'm quoting but I love how people say this and then talk shite about Transformers.

Transformers falls short in the periphery, though.

Poor acting, weak cast, and grade-school dialogue.

And the action scenes are fricking confusing.

He takes orders from Talia. He told Batman he was the leader of the League in order to not blow her cover, much like her father was undercover in BB.

I just go done watching this on demand after seeing it twice in theaters. The third act is where this movie fell apart.,imho

After a second viewing it's the same as I remember it. I love it and think its fantastic but it's not quite as good as TDK.

I also didn't like in the 2nd Bane fight that Batman still pretty much got his arse whooped

BB Batman would have destroyed Bane.

Yep...which is why it would've been cool to see Bruce have to use the old suit at the end of TDKR.

I never thought about him using the old suit. That would have been frickin awesome. I disagree about the third act, I thought it was fairly solid. The only complaint really is less than impressive dialogue and cheesy one liners. Those were fairly small.

I enjoyed Avengers more. Months later, I want to see Avengers again. I don't have a desire to see Batman again.

I'd rather listen to Justin Timberlake than Maynard anyway, much less from an imitator. Which probably explains why I like the Avengers better.

What I like about the Avengers is that it is well-written. One of my big complaints about action stunt spectacular is they have a $100 million budget and they can't find room in the budget for a decent writer. That's what makes the Avengers better than say, the Transformers.

I wasn't a fan of the third act either of TDKR, and I think it went to the safe "well,it's a comic book movie" cop out when it was clearly trying not to be one for two and a half films.

Where did she say she was? I don't remember her ever saying this.
