Well, most of ND's starters are from the south or out west. Not too many from the Midwest.

yeah but it doesn't tell the whole story because ND's 2 deep(more indicative than just the starters) is well over 50% from the midwest/north.

9 defensive starters from the south/west.

There are more northern players on the offensive side - The entire OL is from the midwest as is the TE.

On the defensive 2 deep you have Day, Calbreese, Springman, Barratti, and Grace who all play a lot

I loved that year. Indiana is legit. The Irish are fixing to get a dose of real SEC football.
