First, coaches don't make decisions on popularity contests. Second, Miles gets plenty of love by the LSU fans. Amazes me that fans think that message board posts influence coaches.

Les Miles doesn't have a clue what the fans think. He doesn't know the difference between Choctaw and Maximus, no matter what some people think. Like any fan base, Miles hears boos sometimes in the stadium and a few whispers, but he doesn't read any message boards and don't care what the fans think.

He will make a business decision, nothing more or less.

If this in reference to Gruden, then

agree, but it's not always just business. Miles will consider his family.

so they change the conversation by making an over-the-top, public offer to Miles.

Correctamundo, look at the big brain on Brad.

It all sounds like standard coaching search drama to me. Wouldn't surprise me at all if Jerry Jones thought up the whole thing.

I was thinking Gundy, Petersen and Patterson.

Gruden as a college coach would be a disaster.

well, given the current state of USC's program, I wouldn't say pete carroll was not a disaster for them.

Post on Rabid Hog Fans says their board is meeting at 5:30 tomorrow. If true, we'll whether there's anything to this one way or another pretty soon.

What if it's just Jerry Jones gauging how much $ it would take to get Miles to leave, perhaps for another job that Jones may be associated with that may not be open yet? That seems like an awful lot of money for an NCAA job.
