That's some BS right there. So no more range trips, etc? Get pulled over with an AR in your truck and now you have a felony (I'm assuming they'll make it a felony).

I think there's gonna be a lot of issues if it comes to that.

Looks like I need to go pick up my garand pretty soon then, so I have something to defend my home from when the communist feds show up.

Just looked up the HR 1022, 110th Congress and it is old. Looks to be a failed bill from 2007.

So this whole whistle blowing thing is horsecrap?

I think this video really puts things in perspective. What some of the democratic politicians want to do with gun control is pretty unpopular with the citizens of the US.

I still don't see how they could ever enforce this. There would be an insane amount of people getting felonies if they outlawed possession of ar-15's by themselves, let alone "assult" shotguns, etc.

I think the market is too saturated now for them to pull a stunt like this too. People are more pro gun than ever.

I highly doubt if this is indeed true (and should pass) that any weapon on the list would be grandfathered in.

It would more than likely be illegal to possess and you would have to be caught with it..I would think.

I think it would much more difficult to pass something and have it survive constitutional review that didn't include a grandfather clause.

What are the probabilities of them saying "turn your guns in"?

Everything I had thought before was "if you own it, you are fine. But you can't buy any new ones"

Zero. If they did try, that would be the line in the sand. The cops and military want no part of removing guns home by home...

I agree. THere is something like 8 guns for every 10 americans. We are the most heavily armed society in the world by a huge margin.

I'm very surprised by that dark blue strip going through LA and MS though.
