I strongly suggest you guys check out this guy's youtube channel. He does Walking Dead reviews of each episode from this season. They're really funny, I promise...

Speaking of the gun ban, I know a guy who is selling some AR parts cheap. Lower parts kits for $40 and Beta Mags for $125. Let me know if anyone is interested.

I am an idiot so I apologize, but what exactly comes in a kit?

All the parts that go in the lower, minus the lower receiver itself. Google AR lower parts kit and it will show a pic.

no way a gun grab will happen. They would have some serious trouble. I expect nothing at all to happen with any of this.

This is how I feel, but I have a pretty big problem to how the gun industry, who also know this, will in turn take advantage of people who do not know this and raise their prices.

I understand supply and demand, but it seems like there's a bit of hypocrisy with businesses that pledge their devotion to protecting the 2nd Amendment, yet also use perceived threats against it to price gouge their customers.

Well I see the point you're trying to get across and agree with most of it. But I haven't really seen any big retailers taking advantage of people with price raises. Individual sellers on the other hand...

If you go places like Gun Broker or GunsAmerica you'll see individual sellers price gouging like crazy. Luckily I haven't seen anything like that locally but I think it's pitiful if it happens on a large scale.

I posted this on the Politard bored last night but didn't get any responses:

I have become very suspicious as of the past two years as to what the real motives behind all of this are. It is hot topic up every few years. All I can come up with is it is a guaranteed, speedy way to boost the economy. Start even thinking about banning guns and people will flock. Demand for everything associated with guns goes up exponentially
They know they will not be able to do it, so why even try? Just think what would happen if they talked about banning chocolate

I've thought of that as well. I don't think dems would do that though. They hate guns more than they want to help the economy.

Expanded Homicide Data Table 8

Interesting info, look at how the number of murders have dropped in the past couple of years and the number of murders with handguns compared to rifles...

I was wondering about those stats. Looks like most of the guns on that ban list are rifles of some type yet only 3.76% of firearm murders were due to rifles. Sounds like they want to get rid of them for some other purpose and are using violent crime as a front.

I'm not old enough to remember but what was the reasoning behind the first assault weapons ban in the 90's?
