I hunt around Pecan Island and we've got more dos gris than anything. Never had this this early in the year. We have very little grey ducks and teal, which is usually what we have the most of. Reports I am getting from the NELA delta is a great opening day, but very slow since then. Anyone heard of any consistent reports?

Jones had a good opening...slowed some with pressure and poor weather(no wind and cloudy)...been decent to good since late last week.

saw pics of a spoonie/teal slaughter by a daughter's friend on Twitter this weekend. South of Alexandria, in a legendary Spoonie paradise. Time for some gumbo.

We put down 13 ducks saturday and 15 on sunday between 3 of us in PAC. Had a decent amount of ducks in the area. Nothing spectacular but good enough.

Got a buddy hunts between white lake and grand lake. He hunts seven days a week and I think he only missed his limit twice so far. But where he hunts I think it's possible to kill a limit of greenheads in June. Also heard some decent reports from vermillion corp in pecan island, mostly teal.

east central Arkansas was great opening morning. Fri was ok, between two of us a limit and a half and lost a couple of others. Sat sucked. 4 of us killed 5.

The ducks Fri and Sat. were 2 gadwall and the rest mallards.

Big limits first 3 days in mer rouge. Hunted Alto the next 3 days and it slowed way off. Since thanksgiving day mer rouge has been pretty slow. Started seeing some birds come in around lunch today though

Decent day in Jones this weekend. Ducks didn't fly till late (9am) when the wind picked up. Mostly Pintail.

We have close to 10k ringnecks between our property and Apache's company lease. I've got a lease on the coast and I can tell you there are plenty of good ducks in LA, they are at the Mardi Gras rig eating pogies. Friday, it took us longer to put out and pick up the decoys than it did to limit out. Sat am, we could have shot teal and rings and been done in 10 minutes. Yesterday, low water almost nothing but teal the rest were about 3 miles out on GOM tanning.

Been good, but slowed a little today. Should pick up again tomorrow. We killed good mallards from Friday to Sunday.

Where are you in the Jones area? We hunt off Water Tank road just north of Dummis Line.

Based on your posting history, I knew you were goin to respond to my post

I was a guest at your place on Saturday (hunted with JT...maybe that is you). I was very impressed with the set up. I wish I had something like that closer to me in Texas. I'll pay to come back second split if there is any openings

I did the oysters Friday night. I think you didn't drive in until the morning?
