Are you using the HDD from the old computer? You should do a fresh install of windows every time you do a MOBO swap. SCSI can be turned on per drive in the BIOS.

I'll start a new thread once my h80 comes in and when I ever get the chance to order my video card. I really want to buy a 2.5" hdd to replace my 3.5" so I can take out my HDD bays. Those 2.5" are far pricier than 3.5"

First post off the new setup I didn't do a clean install of windows though. I'm going to wait and do it over the weekend. Haven't got a chance to play any games yet. Much smoother already though!

I don't know why you wouldn't do a clean install.

Yea you can get good FPS on medium, when we say poor performance we mean on ULTRA/HIGH settings.

Not a bad monitor for $135. 2MS response time for the other FPS fans out there. LINK

I have both 2ms and 5ms. The difference in input lag I could not put a finger on it. I tried a few tests to see the difference but always was left with the same result. Lower Ping >>>>>>>> Input Lag

I will just leave this here. That is just the bottom pedestal with RADs. Ridiculous.

hey stout what kind of fps are you getting on farcry 3 and what's your setup? Just watched Tom Logan's video about how intensive it is.

My GPU is a Gigabyte 7950 and it runs fine for me though I didn't play it on ultra but yea it takes a lot to run. I played on high with no problems and even recorded a lot while playing which takes a toll on the GPU as well. I haven't checked my FPS for it though. I will sometime today when I play and let you know.

I have this monitor on my build and I can tell you it's a great monitor for the price. The only crappy thing is, don't plan on mounting it because there are no screw holes in the back.

I don't know how anyone in their right mind, would put a new build together and not put a fresh install of windows on it. Your computer will never perform like it's suppose to with some other windows install on it.

Ok.Toss up question. I cannot decide what upgrade to get next on my build. I am rocking an old school Gtx 280 gpu But also have a traditional platter hardrive. After Christmas I will be playing Planetside/Skyrim possibly farcry/bordelands 2 and other stuff all on a new 23inch 1080p 2ms Asus display. Which upgrade would you make first? gpu or ssd ? (if possible please offer support for your opinion in complete sentences) I will hang up and listen.

For Skyrim, no doubt GPU with no less than 2GB VRAM. First though, what socket are you rocking? A 775? ETA:

This will be extremely difficult.
