I understand what you are saying but being down just 14 isn't a large enough deficit to abandon the run or your original game plan period. Actually, the drive where the lead was cut to 28-21 was what was needed later in the game. There were some effective runs on that drive & the play calling was mixed up well.
That PI on Morgan was HUGE. If that call goes our way, we likely tie the game there. Instead we punt and they go on that long FG drive that drained the clock. Brees had no shot when he got back on the field.
I'm sorry about how things went earlier in thread. I apologize. I hope you have a clear explanation of why I feel why the offense was outcoached more then being out manned.
Its cool. I stay out of TD.com "arguments" but I could tell you knew what you were talking about so I was trying to understand where you were coming from. I got you now.
I just think we've seen this oline play against every top front 7 in the league over the past 5+ years and this team is the only one that has made them look like this, now, twice. They've had some other duds(STL last year) but never looked this helpless when it mattered. Im sure scheme has something to do with, but I think the credit goes to their players. You put any combo of our front in their scheme today vs our offense and I think Brees shreds them. We dont have their athletes.
Their front 7 is scary and their secondary literally knocks people out. When Brees was lucky enough to get a pass off, it was target practice for those guys in their secondary.
