Bama, UGA, FL, SC, A&M, LSU - all beat IRISH

NotreDame has:
a 3 point win against 4-8 Purdue,
a 3 point triple OT win against 5-6 Pitt,
a 3 point win against 7-5 BYU
a 7 point win against Mich (destroyed by Bama)
a 9 point win against 7-5 Trojans
I guess their best win is Oklahoma.
They finish 7th in the SEC.

By rankings, Stanford became their best win followed by Oklahoma. They did go undefeated but their resume is not as great as it looked in preseason.

Yep. People outside the SEC fail to realize that they'll never win another Championship under a true playoff system. The only way to stop the SEC from winning is to keep them out of the game. That's going to be difficult to do when 4 teams are allowed

Maybe they "play down" to their competetion.... never heard of that happening, though.
I cannot see them beating Bama in a championship game.... not sure about UGA or UF.
I don't know if USCe could beat them -- I think probably ND wins that game.

I think any of the sec top 6 could win a playoff format.

My complaint is that Notre Lame doesn't play a conference championship game...but wait, this sounds familiar- Bama last year!
