All cheerleaders pull for their team...which one is yours? End all subsidies and the technology that is feasible will be sustained. Bureaucrats picking winners and losers invites corruption.

Lookie here a strawman........ Most of the subsidies/tax breaks that oil and gas companies receive are given to ALL manufacturers. But don't let that get in the way of a good tale.

But Dufrechou said the project may end up falling short of preliminary projections partly because the turbine isn’t tall enough to catch winds that come from the north. “If winds come from the south, from across the lake, it’s good,” he said. “But if the winds are from the north, they’re obstructed by the canopy of trees in Mandeville and it doesn’t produce as much energy.”
Too bad the Causeway Commission doesn't have access to a point somewhere in the middle of Lake Pontchartrain where there would be no obstruction by the canopy of tress in Mandeville?

And they tend to work very well. In addition to Production Tax Credits, accelerated depreciation dramatically changes the ability to finance manufacturing projects. One thing I can definitely agree with Republicans on is that targeted tax breaks to certain industries can accelerate growth and increasing taxes on those industries can kill growth.

What a bunch of morons. The thing needs one of those little rudder things like on the back of planes to keep it in the wind.
You are misunderstanding the problem.

Nope, smaller ones with rudders have the ability to turn with the wind. It is easier to turn smaller ones with less wind. Like I said earlier, if they really wanted them, they would have thought about putting a few ones on the Causeway that were small enough to not be distracting. If you are thinking about the wasteful spending problem, then you might have a one track mind. It was plausible that it could work, just not gone about the right way
