I am at a loss to explain what those people were doing. That was one strange video.

BTW, how is it that they're able to catch on film so many of these bombs being dropped? Is it because the Israelies are telling them exactly were they're going to drop them and to get the hell away from there?
This. The Israelis tell them where they are going to drop their ordinance ahead of time so the civilians can get out of there. They are just as aware of the PR war as the Palestinians are.

I'm pretty sure this is all part of the Palestinian MO... throw missile volley's into Israel so they respond. When women, children or babies or killed they cart them out for the camera to get the world's sympathy and get public sentiment against Israel. They've even given it a term, the "Dead Baby Strategy". It's pretty sick actually. And pretty sad that it's effective for people such as yourself.
I'm not really affected and my opinion isn't swayed by propoganda - and the notion that Palestinians use human shields is an opinion. To say that they (even the worst militants) will strap bombs to their own children is complete bunk. The fact is, most of us Americans have no idea what Palestinians have endured, and continue to endure DAILY by a military occupation. Gaza is a big prison, haven't you been paying attention? Look, I will never be an apologist for militant attacks - Hamas is wrong. I don't agree with the aspirations to make a Palestinian state an Islamic State, just like I don't accept an Israeli Government that is Jewish or a Saudi Government that is Islamic. I am an American, and I have American standards. Equality and Liberty to all is what we should be promoting and insisting on when we funnel BILLIONS of taxpayer money into another government. Sorry if I seem offensive, but I KNOW that freedom is as important to Palestinians as it is to us Americans. There is no way you understand what Palestinians endure - in Israel proper or in the Occupied Territories. All of my opinions are based on what I have seen my self. What my family endures over there, and what I have experienced aren't in the same hemisphere as a lot of the hawkish, ignorant positions I see from my friends here on the board.

Holy shite....you're right! At the beginning of the video you can clearly see "Dec 08/Jan 09" pop in and out at the bottom right of the screen.

I'm familiar with White Phosphorus. But these are only allegations, infact when you type White Phosphorus on YouTube all you get is allegations of Israel using it on Palestinians and every other conspiracy of other governments using it. Sounds like Propoganda/Rhetoric to me.

It was bizarre. Bringing babies out and posing them. I am not going to say exactly what I think, will let it play out but something just doesn't seem right.

Levin quoted someone in the 1950's as saying(I'm para-phrasing): When the Palestinians learn to love their children more than they hate the Jews, then there will be peace. Not happening.

I did notice the date, and I'm sure that every single person sets their time/date on cameras. Ok, so say it was from Cast Lead a couple of years ago - the point still stands. With all of the shelling going on, would it really be that hard to catch some footage? Really?

You have your friends from 1967 to thank for that. Had the Arab League not tried to wipe Israel off the face of the earth back then, things might be a little different than they are right now. I'd have a little bit more sympathy for the Arabs and the Palestinians if they had not been working to destroy Israel since the very day the nation was established.

Probably not. Especially when the Israelis tell the civilians ahead of time to bug out of the area because something's about to go down.

It would be hard to get your phone out and catch the plane dropping the bombs, yes. I don't see how it is an opinion that Hamas uses women and children as human shields. They definitely fire form civilian centers. THere is a lot of desert to fire rockets from.

And if I were in charge (and be glad I'm not) I'd see to it Gaza would end up like the two aforementioned cities. You talk about an overreaction. You haven't seen anything yet.

It takes real bravery to fight from 20,000 feet on folks with no air defenses. And then we wonder why they hate us for supporting these terrorists.

So you're calling our airmen in World War II cowards now, huh? By 1945 we had bombers (the B-29) that could fly well above anything the Japanese had to hit us with. We bombed Tokyo to ashes and they could do nothing to stop us.

I guess they should just march in and fight building to building so you don't think they are cowards.

Your right they should put more of their people at risk. Unlike Hamas, Israel cares about their people. If every time you get into a violent conflict hundreds of your people get killed it is time to put the weapons down. All it does is get Palestinian civilians killed, and Keeps anti-palestinian parties in Israel in power. All you do is make excuses for these terrorist. You don't care about human life. You care about making your point. You don't care about Israeli citizens. You appeaser.
