Fair enough but ever made me think you were referring to the long haul of the states highest classification.....

And if forced bussing hits every other parish like it did EBR..and all is equal....

BR large schools were eviscerated by it...in everydecadw prior to it EBR was well represented in the finals....

Eta. You know what it doesn't matter. STM has a classy program as u will ever see. Thanks for the luck hope it works in our favor

My crow? What crow? Even your link contradicts what you said happened on here. So WTF happened? Did anything really happen? Does it really matter?

Did Leonard really need to be "disrespected" to go off against that STM defense? Really? Why did it take being disrespected to dominate an opponent? If this episode really happened is it in Leonard or St Aug's best interest to put it in the media? Aug decisively beat a team by 26 pts on their own field, why did Crutch feel the need to try to embarrass them in the media as well? Vindictiveness? Is it some sort of warning to other teams? Seems very petty to me

Wouldn't the story have read better for Crutch, Aug and Leonard if it was "STM is a great program and we knew we had to play our best to win. The team didn't play their best but Leonard was the difference in the game. We know we will have to play better than we did to beat a tough team like Karr and with Leonard on our side we know we always have a great chance to win"

You know, a little class.

Instead you have an article that implies Aug has underachieved, had a disappointing season even though they are a 7-3 team, has struggled with believing in their coaches and scheme and needed an alleged insult to motivate the best RB in the state to dominate an opponent in a playoff game.

What "crow" am I supposed to be eating again?

FTR I got a golden opportunity to meet and spend some time with Coach Griff years ago. It was a great experience for me. He is the epitome of grace and class and he will always represent St Aug Athletics to me. Something tells me griff would not think very highly of crutch's methods, antics or representation of St Aug in the public and in the media. It is very telling to me that an Aug guy brought his team to STM last year and won with class, but the guy who now coaches Aug is classless.

But it really doesn't matter does it?

I hope victor doesn't put his "nuts in their faces" or anyone's face for that matter. And I still consider myself a distant fan of St Aug.

Well obviously you dont know Griff to well. Griff is a legend and everything. One of the greatest coaches to ever live, but will all due respect he is a complete arse! You are right I was quite surprised that this made it to the media and it did not need to be said. The articles is right St Aug should be 9-1. The crow ur supposed to eat is that I didnt just make this stuff up and I personally dont think that if it really was ploy it would have made it to the media, but hey it all good. Now Barthe is a relative of mine and was a good coach. Always classy. How could u say that Mitchell Johnson who is a student of Griff is classless?

everything there is true

Aug was ranked in the national top 100 at the beginning of the season. you have a blue-chip hoss at RB, talent around him, and a say what you want but he's a champion coach.

Rummel's gonna win 5A so i'd excuse that loss, but this team was (is) better than Holy Cross and East Jeff.

1992 was Charlie Brown's last season. Neville lost on a missed PAT against Carencro and sophomore Kevin Faulk.

5alive missed my point about griff. To the outside world he is the epitome of class. Inside aug he may have been an arse but that wasn't how he represented himself or the school

Hey if a kid wants to do that then fine! Let him know that we produce D1 kids every year, Jesuit not so much. Maybe 1 per class.

If he gets that SU offer he Is gone.

Anyone think Rummel may struggle against Ouachita? Making the long trip up north could have an effect on the Raiders.

I think so, and I'm a Rummel grad. Rummel always struggles with the bigger and more physical northern teams. The 4 and a half/5 hour trip does not help either. Hopefully, I'm wrong.
