Obama won by less than 400,000 votes in swing states... Through fraud.
Romney wasn't a conservative. He didn't motivate the base. He didn't swing women. Ryan added nothing. Sandy hurt as well especially Fat arse Christie giving Obozo a photo op to look bipartisan. Staged bs. Pravda media group ate it up.

The Democrats play the Game better though. They know exactly how to play to their base.

Ike carried the Black vote in 1956 and Nixon got 32% in 1960. If Romney had only matched Nixon's share of the Black vote he would have won in a landslide. By the way, Nixon only got 5% of the Black vote in 1968, the year Republicans first adopted the Southern Strategy.

I'd trust Barry Goldwater or William Buckley, over most knuckleheads in the party today ,when they both were disappointed in the extreme far right GOP.
The Southern Strategy & the Religious Right , which Goldwater warned against, are to blame for the devolving rhetoric inside the GOP.
Pandering to bigots & Evangelicals served them well for a while ,but Steele, Jindal,etc......all know that it's time is closely ending.
Maybe not RIGHT NOW ,but the writings are on wall for an end to the GOP continuing to pander hard to these two groups.

I have a fundamental question, do you guys not understand politics? I mean what is politics other than presenting your ideas to the public and the public deciding if your ideas will make them better off?
Yes Obama promised things to people and they voted for him because they thought of the two candidates he would help their lives the most. This is what elections are about, you don't vote for the person who think will make your life worse.
Hell I thought all your Randians out there wanted people to be selfish. Isn't objectivism the idea that if everyone did what was in their selfish interests the world would be a better place?

Until the party divorces itself from the teabaggers, Fox News, Rush, etc., they will never win. Look at all the bozos the teabaggers have either gotten elected or tried to get elected. Rush and a few of those bozos totally alienated the women. If I were Sandra Fluke, I would file a law suit against Rush for slander. He called her a slut and prostitute on national radio. They need to reclaim the party. Stop bowing down to Fox and Rush. I think the tea party did a lot of good early on. But, now most of them are just extremists. No party can get elected with just their base. They need independents and swing voters.

Not really plenty of people don't like to pay taxes for massive social programs. Just stop catering too all the believers in mother goose fairy tales about jesus and stop trying to curtail individual livery with all this abortion stupidity and gay bashing and you'll get a lot more votes.
