Story is called "The past was fast"
I was a sophomore at LSU that year and I still remember that game like it was yesterday. I miss the days of camping out for seats. Hell we had one of the first tents up front for the Duke game and we made ESPN because we ran 17 extension cords from the PMAC to our tent for a Madden SEGA GENESIS tourney. Classic fun times.

The Kentucky game in '77 I think, where we beat them in double OT, all starters fouled out, was one of the best experiences of any kind for me.

I was there while still in school; those were the days when everyone camped out for concert and basketball tickets; wild times

I don't think LSU sweat them out. Pfft.
Big deal high scoring game for LSU - but just another game for LMU.
Loyola beat Saint Mary's on Thursday night (150-119) in Los Angeles...flew out to Louisiana on Friday...played LSU Saturday (141-148) and then flew out that same night back to Los Angeles and beat San Francisco (157-115) on Sunday.
That team was probably the greatest conditioned team of all time.

Average time per shot attempt---LSU 10.5 seconds. LMU 8.1 seconds. Fricking crazy. Great article.

I was at the CJ went off and the one Shaq scored something like 60. Was at the uh game in 82/83 season. Benny A pointed his arse to us during warm ups and we crumbled and threw reviles at him.
Those were fun times for us. I had a pic of me at center court 2nd row up with Stanley and shaq and me before the game. I looked like a dwarf standing between them.
My favorite games were during 85-87 though. Great teams for the talent. So many fond memories and loss of hearing!

I remember the story in the advocate on the game. Dale told the guys that there was no game plan to just go out and have fun.

I remember this as well. I have it on tape somewhere. I need to pull it out and watch again.
