Don't particulary like this part. Who pays for the treatment?
I'd assume the same fricking people that pay to incarcerate drug users??

A piss in the bottle and a test strip typed piss test costs less than ten bucks. How much does a years worth of .gov cash cost?

I like the idea in theory but it will only end up costing us more to drug test every individual than we would save by ending benefits.
Yep. If I remember right Floriduh spent more on testing than they saved on kicking people off welfare. I know unemployment benefits aren't the same thing as welfare, but if I had to bet, you would see even fewer drug users in that program.

It's as ridiculous, if not more so, than testing welfare recipients. A miniscule percentage will fail the tests, and it will cost money. It's just dumbass legislation that panders to certain voters.

All benefits should carry drug/alcohol/tobacco testing. Not as a punitive measure, but as a factor in the means testing for that individual. IOW, if they can afford to smoke tobacco, drink alcohol, or buy drugs. . .the price of those items should factor into the person's income.

So no benefits if they are found to use legal products? Is that what you're saying? Dude, if so, you're wishing for a country and point of view that never was and never will be.

No. Factor that into the means testing. I said it shouldn't be punitive (no benefits). It should factor into the equation regarding level/amount of benefits.

What Gov. Cash would you be referring to? Unemployment Insurance is just that, INSURANCE....Sure, the Gov. requires employers to have and pay for said insurance, but it is not funded by income taxes, at least not any more than them requiring you to have auto insurance.
