The Senate was never intended to be elected by popular vote of the people. The senate does not represent the people. It represents the States.
We have Super Reps now. But thats my point NOBODY represents the states. Thats why Im saying there is a case for taxation without representation.

Add in Alabama with our massive coal industry along with huge forestry, steel, and auto industries as well. On top of that we've got a great deep water port in Mobile as well. Hell, with Huntsville we could even start up our own space program. When you take all these things and remove the EPA and welfare state obligations that come from Washington, we could have a very strong country consisting of only the Southern states.
Sorry, man you are out of luck. See, we couldn't add Alabama without adding Mississippi too, and that ain't happening.

We have to have Mississippi. They give us both some of the hottest women on the planet as well as a deep well of people to make fun of.

Anyone wonder if the poor people would migrate to the other states if there was secession? If there were nothing in TX for free would those that got stuff for free stay in TX still or move to NM? I would be curious how that would play out. Of course how many Texan tax payers would do the same? Its a hard road to predict.
