The email response was written... thank you for considering us for your rehearsal dinner. The only problem is it might be a little expensive for the amount of people attending. It sounded pompass at first then realized she really just meant it was fricking expensive for 22 people....

I wonder how often they are booked if they basically require 80 people to make it affordable to their menu prices. I wonder if the cost would be the same or not too.

I'm just wondering what someone would get if they asked about using a room for dinner for about 22 people.

Maybe stop using "rehearsal dinner".

Seriously, it seems silly to have those minimums for 22 people, BUT it may depend on the time of year. If this is a busy time of year, they want the maximum they can get, so if you're looking at June or high wedding or party time, that may well be the issue.
