Damn. Turned those houses into splinters.
I was thinking it may have been an arson situation to get a pay off on a home, but the blast looks to have been too big for a disconnected gas line to blow from a pilot flame.

I think too that if it were a blast from the lower portion of the home, there would be a lot more debris on the roof's of the next-door houses - debris would fly up and away, at an arc. Only saw debris on one or two houses in that shot.

If you Google a few gas line explosions, the results look pretty similar.
