Stan Van Gundy on Mike Brown's firing:"The most ridiculous firing in the history of the NBA." (via Orlando Sentinel)

Dwight got two coaches fired in six games.

It went from we are all behind Mike, to fired in one day. Incredible

Yeah, that's why I'm shocked. If there wasn't such a public display of support over the last week I probably would have expected it given their record. But it felt like the whole Org and Kobe included was laying blame just about everywhere besides Mike Brown. Damn.

Oh and I guess that death stare from Kobe on Wednesday night might have been somewhat of an indicator too

I can almost guarantee you that the Lakers getting rid of Mike Brown allows them to improve about as much as Dallas would if they cut Romo.

The Lakers got older in the off season. Older and they still have to go through that little period to gel with these old guys. If Phil was still there the results may not have been to far from where they are now.

He probably hates Dwight more than SVG does.

I had money in my head that you'd respond to that.

but seriously, I think some people set their expectations a little bit high this season. The youth movement in the league is very strong. There isn't a coach in the world that's gonna make the Lake Show better than 3rd (more than likely 4th or 5th) place in the west. A realistic goal would be advancing to the 2nd round.

Lakers need an Eric Bledsoe, Jordan Farmar or even a Shannon Brown to create some excitement

Metta looks like a slight tard out on the court

Dantoni is the leading candidate and Phil Jackson is interested in the job per new reports coming out.

D'antoni's offense with Nash at the point and a defensive presence like Dwight in the paint

Holy shite
