St. Charles is exploring the possibility of moving up to 4A depending on which teams play up from 2A.
The perfect schools for a district are SCC, Curtis, St James, Riverside and maybe ED WHite.

St. James sucks now
I know, strictly because of the coach. I dont ever recall St.James having a bad team before now.

Riverside is pretty bad this season also.

3A just seems like the step child of classifications. With the exception of a couple, all the districts are weird and spread out. Only like 4 teams are ever any good. The disparity between the biggest school and smallest school is pretty huge (not like 5A huge, but the marginal difference at 5A is not as meaningful).
when the vote to play up was done last year.. it was 3A against the other football classes.. all because of JC and ECA... and to save the catholic league.

With the size of the enrollment, the facilities, and the community support - how can Denham Springs be so average in athletics?

Their new coach destroyed that program.

Yep. It's pathetic playing over there now. Hardly anyone there to watch when the stands used to be overflowing with people. We've played them every year for I don't even know how long but that'll probably stop next year.

Helen Cox will be moving up into the West Jeff, Higgins, Ehret district I assume?
Posted on 11/7/12 at 1:02 pm to ProjectP2294
That's what they want to do.
Posted on 11/7/12 at 3:05 pm to oauron
Great, Hammond goes back to the Northshore 5A district. The district's better teams' power rankings suffer accordingly because of one less chance to schedule a quality non-district opponent.
Posted on 11/7/12 at 3:18 pm to ProjectP2294
If they put Ehret, WJ, Higgins, Cox together I would guess they'll throw Bonnabel in their too. They'll either make it an 8 team district with Hahnville, Desty, and ESJ or move the river parish teams somewhere else....again.

I guess when Riverside and Winnfield saw that Curtis, Evangel, and UHigh were all going to 3A, they figured it'd be best for them to stay in 2A.
3A is going to have a lot of good teams the next couple years.
