Did people really expect Austin Rivers to come in and light it up in the NBA in his first 2-3 games? shite, Aminu was a #8 pick 2 years ago and is finally showing something.
i think you're exaggerating here...no one expects superstar rivers to be on the court.
...but wanting to see glimpses or some bright spots isn't crazy. He's a top 10 pick, and he has played badly.
again, plenty of time for improvement, but so far, he has been disappointing.

Rivers also had 3 steals, 3 Rebounds, 2 assists and a block. He did a few things tonight beyond scoring. He played some reasonably good D tonight from what I saw. He D'd up on Rip a good bit and did well.
ya, that is very good to see. the guy is willing to work and get better. I think he can get himself to where he needs to be.
...but the Hornets drafted him to score.

Drake you didn't watch this game. There were flashes today that gave me encouragement.

They actually drafted him to move him to point guard. At least, thats what they've been saying.

maybe...even so, it was to become a westbrook type PG.
he's supposed to be a scorer, regardless of position. if the hornets drafted him to be a pass first PG, then i don't know what to say.
i'm not against rivers. just talking. he has been disappointing, no matter how you spin it. i've seen him enough to comment.
if he had bright rebound/assists tonight that i missed.

Not just a rebound/assist, but he had the most complete game of his young career. Honestly when you put him up agains the other scorers who cam out in this draft, the only one setting the world on fire is lillard, I think you're upset because you aren't seeing what you want to see.
For me, all i want to see is him continue to give the effort he has given so far and improve his decision making. Which i feel he has done with each game.

for me, i'm getting nervous...don't know what's up with Gordon. if he's out and rivers can be a legit scorer, maybe this organization won't be extremely fricked.
if he's a bust, and gordon is out....frickED.

and hells yes....what time? forgot they did that

I was never a big proponent of drafting him, but he's trying hard and trying to do other things until he develops an offensive game.
This. He is improving but he is a project at this point. Monty's player development track record has me optimistic on his future

Austin Rivers's impressive 2 of 7 from the floor raised his FG% for the season. He is now 7 of 32, and his FG% can now purchase alcohol at 21.8%. AIM HIGH AND REACH FOR THE STARS, AUSTIN!

Its a shame people create alters. It really speaks volumes about their life.

After shooting a sizzling 7 of 16 combined from the floor in the last 2 games, Rivers didn't record a single made shot from the field in 22 minutes, going 0 for 2. Rivers is now 14 of 50 on the season for 28%.

Does he have any Duke eligibility left?
