I just can't see them killing Darryl because it would piss off fans of the show. Him and Rick seem like the only safe ones to me. I could be wrong though.

rick, darryl, and carl all seem safe to me.
andrea, glenn, merle, and michonne all are kind of safe to me.

I see the core crew (Rick,Carl,Glenn,Maggie,Michonne) making it through season 3. The rest is up for grabs. I kind of would like to see the Woodbury angle play out into season 4.

I'm the same way, i was hoping more people would bite on that picture. That's from another movie Norman Reedus plays in called pandorum.

I've recently read all the comics and am currently reading them as they come out and I think then can easily carry the show into at least 8-9 seasons. The comics are kind of setting up an ending in my opinion and they're at like 105ish. Tyrese is a BA character but he'll definitely be killed off at seasons end

My question is.. they tell you how people turn but do they ever explain how it all started or what caused the disease?

I doubt it. I think the Woodbury storyline might extend to season 4. Secondly, the TV deaths do not parallel with the comic deaths. Since Tyrese has been clamored for by the fans, I doubt you only get 8 episodes with him. I could see him outlasting Daryl(who would be killed by humans, not zombies) at this point, but just a theory.
