We raise a glass in remembrance of those games we shared.
It was a year ago that I lost Dad. It's been a rough year.
I know he will be watching and enjoying the game.
Remember any loved one you want in this thread.
Yes even a Bama fan

Indeed...
My grandpa died in '93 and he was buried with his LSU hat......I don't think I ever saw him without that hat....Think the old school standing tiger logo on a white backgroud with purple fish net mesh back....It was great I wish I could find one, but that is the only one I have ever seen like that.
However I'm also going to raise a glass to new Tiger fans.....my wife and I had a little girl today....I'm thinking she is just one more lucky charm on the Tigers side.

Remembering my Dad who died in 2007, we watched the ND sugar bowl game together amd then he wemt in the hospital the next day and the rest is history. He was a hardcore tiger fan who never gave up on the tigers and never doubted them, he wasn't anything like the rest of these fairweather fans we have now. Love and miss u CWF8

Awesome post.
Lost my Dad 10/28/08 and my Mom four months later 3/4/09. One of the most difficult things I've ever dealt with in my life.
My Dad was a Baton Rouge High grad Class of '38, Army Air Corps in WWII and a life-long Tiger Fan. He was a marshall in the student section for 20+ years from the late 60's through the early 80's. Though there was a great age difference between us (I was adopted) one of the things we shared with great passion and pride was LSU football. A couple months before he passed, the assisted living facility he and my Mom were living at brought all of the men on a bus tour of LSU athletic facilities. He was 87 at the time and hadn't worked a game in many years. He hadn't seen all of the improvements to the stadium, athletic complex, practice fields etc. He was truly like a kid at Christmas. I'll always remember having that conversation with him and hearing all of the amazement in his voice.
Here's to you both, Mom and Dad.

My dad has been gone since '93 but to this day watching LSU games, either at the stadium or at home always brings back memories of him. Taught me how to "negotiate" for tickets outside the stadium. Even taught me how to get a pint of whiskey into the stadium.
