Homemade Yak Duck Blind w/pics

alright, I finally got time to get make my layout blind for my nucanoe. I didn't like how low the blind was that nucanoe made and I hated the pattern on it. I did some research on blinds for the yak and the tension system seemed to be my best bet. All I have to do is unbuckle 4 buckles and pull it off. Nice and easy.
For the frame I used galvanized rods from hurricane fences, 550 paracord, and quick release buckles.
I made a temporary home made layout seat, (crappy carpenter and paint work), and plan to re do it with padding for a head rest and seat cushion.
The camo is cordura max-4 covers the whole boat. I also bought some layout blind smart weed to dress it up, i'll add natural vegetation to it when I hunt the marshes or flooded river bottoms.
Its secured with elastic rope I bought from the backpacker all the way around the bottom of it as well as some velcro pads stuck to the boat and the fabric.
finished product:
can't wait to creep some ducks this season...10 days, 3 hours, and some change for me.
Go ahead and start the hate, I know you bastads will find something to knock

that looks like a nap waiting to happen.
Where is your dog gonna sit?

the boat was kinda expensive ($1200) but my fiancé bought 1/2 of it for my graduation gift. I wanted something sturdy and big enough for me, i'm a big ole cuss. Me, My Fiance, Dog, Trolling Motor, and Battery went across the lake we hunt with no problems. 650lb capacity and crazy sturdy.
when i'm on the move the frame will lay flat and she can sit on top, i'm working on making a portable dog stand for her once I get to my honey hole.
yeah about that nap. Its comfortable without padding, gonna be tough when I get my seat finished.

That looks like a accident waiting to happen. Don't choot your dog.

Wont be slinging steel with the dog in the boat with me. She'll be on her stand or on the bank

Nice. Where do you plan to hunt?

Mainly hunt a smaller lake north of lake Charles. I'll make a few hunts with my buddy down towards Slidell in the pear river reserve.
We even talked about hitting wax lake and camping for a few days.

Why not just get to your spot and set up, paddle away and just park your boat and walk back to your set up spot?

10' deep creek going back to a honey hole. Easier to creep and WAY easier than packing all my gear back there.
Also, I'll be hunting open water and marsh later this season.
ETA: it's supposed to serve as a layout blind like the ones in fields. All in one set up.

Easier to creep
Which is against the law to do for duck hunting.

Out if context, not gonna be poaching. I need to "creep" before daylight so I won't run off all my woodies before shooting time.
