You think bringing in Lin and giving him all that money was a good move?

Considering their options it was a damn fine move. The Rockets should have got Dwight Howard, but Orlando is a circus organization and Mitch Kupchak apparently scares the shite out of everyone, so they didn't get Dwight.

that's not always the case..Its not like teams sub in 5 new players every time the other team brings their players off the bench

I like Harden. Damn, people are underrating him in this thread, calling him a role player....Why, because he has been a 6th man?

i agree with this. To say Harden only played against second unit players is a moronic idea, clearly you don't watch the NBA if you think that.

Terrence Jones, a nice group of 2nd round picks, a valuable 1st round pick going into this year because we are going to suck most likely, Royce White could turn out to be awesome if he could get on a damn plane, and Montiejunas.

Martin can fill his role as well if not better and the team doesn't have to deal with what may have become a malcontent not getting what he wanted....and if you don't think that may or would have happened than you don't follow the NBA

Apparently you haven't watched Kevin Martin play much basketball. He takes a high volume of shots, is a defensive liability, doesn't hustle, and is not a great passer. Really all he does is shoot, and most of the times he gets all his points from drawing fouls, and I'm sure the new rules will cut down on his FT attempts.

I dont know anyone in Houston who liked him, I am so glad that POS is gone, worst 20 ppg scorer I have ever seen.

So the Rockets have a bunch of young assets, but Jeremy Lamb is just "meh" now that he's gone?

I think a lot of people in this thread are confused about this...also about the definition of a role player.

Role players don't average 19.6 PPG while shooting 49% and 39% from 3. That's damn good.

That's not how I meant it. I said Lamb may turn out to be a good player. But based on his preseason play, which was "meh", he's not guaranteed to pan out.

Is there even any debate that OKC got the better of the deal?

idk bro, Hollinger wrote today that the trade adds 10 wins for HOU and takes 4 away from OKC.

NBA teams love young talent. And the Rockets still have a lot of cap space. They aren't done making moves. They may be done for a while. But they are still rebuilding this team.

When is Harden on the court without both Durant and Westbrook?? To start the 2nd and fourth quarters..every single game. when just about every team is resting the starters.

I love Harden..he is a stud..just arguing his as the lone star are not worth much

Long term the Rockets got a 23 year old proven NBA player.

Long term the Thunder got an aging swingman who is more of a stat-padder than somebody who helps you win, and 3 unknowns with Lamb and two draft picks.

OKC took a lot of risk.

The Rockets got a good young player for the long term.
