I get the frustrations as I, too, get irritated. But, we have seen Les mixing in some things he hasn't before. I also truly believe it is in the fundamental executions that is key, but considering the USCe game I have more optimism than most.

Just the following points for hope:

1 - Low noise for offensive plays (duh...home game) will help Mett communicate better and that is essential for the few times he might recognize an audible opportunity. Against a Saban defense, an inexperienced QB needs every edge possible.

2 - Bye week for healing and focusing on fundmentals. There will be no new game PLAN but we may see some wrinkles....other than that, it about the drills.

3 - The Grind. No, MSU is not going to win, but you better believe they will provide some bruises if not scare the Tide a bit.

4 - Revenge. It is huge and particularly in this series.......its LSU's turn

5 - Resurgence in oline production. The youngins' are gelling and without the recent upswing, LSU would be in deep doo doo.

6 - Bama's vaunted line has an Achilles Heal: Pass Protection. Put them in longer yardage situations and AJ's feeling heat......he ain't Shaw or JFF, so expect mayhem and not rushing lanes to a degree.

I've watched the Tide and they are a great team, but not one foe has punched them back.

the only problem with this is that alabama's defense is rarely running what it appears to be running, that's the beauty of it

true. CNS disguises coverages/blitzes like no other. BUT, it's better when the QB doesn't have to deal with a hostile crowd (ironic).

"we" refers to a select few.....including myself.

There are many folks with their hair on fire, but I've sensed some normalcy here and there.

Oh, I know what you mean. Winning calms things to an extent, but we have a faction of our fan base that (for whatever reason) HATE Les Miles and will always hate him. They slink back into their little caves when we win but come back in full force when we lose. Well, even when we win, they find a reason to bitch and moan about the way we went about it.
