I have a very detailed excel spreadsheet with all my debts, acct numbers, beginning balance, current balance, etc. I am a very detailed person and have always monitored my credit. I am in a bind because of my wife's significant health issues the last 18 months. So basically I can keep my house and car if I sign a reaffirmation and clear myself of all other bad debt? What does a ch 7 cost? In all honesty I'd rather not have to discharge most of my debt because I owe it, but at this point I'm looking at losing my house etc if I don't do anything.

Any recommendation on a Lafayette attorney to speak with?

TIA

It does suck, but your attitude on here seems to tell me you aren't just racking up debt, filing ch 7 every 7 years.

A cheap Ch7 runs about 1k. Depending on the complexity, it may cost more. Good luck.
