Freakin ULM and Tech have gunslingers and we have a bronze statue. I'm happy everytime we win, however it is painful to watch our QB play. Anyone have a good explanation?

Easy now...Zack is a great arm talent and he is tall

I am perplexed he keeps getting balls knocked down, I have to think this on the OL...

Our WRs are not as fast I thought, nor as physcial...that's a big problem

coming out of spring, Mett's big plus was his accuracy on the deep ball, well, we have yet to really see that consistently.

Odell has to bring those in...He has had the sophomore jinx.

I like Zack...people need to realize this offense is about scheme, which has been scouted and well defended.. LSU must make changes... Like, put 3 or 4 WR's on the feild at the same time, not 2, with pop warner routes.

Because LSU and CLM are known as running teams, always have, always will. LSU throws the ball about 20 times a game.

The WR have been less than stellar. Not getting good separation and dropped passes haven't helped.

Yeah, it's not like LSU has ever had the #1 qb taken in the draft recently. Oh, wait...

Someone like Zach Lee or Gunner Kiel would fit nicely in our offense.

This is really my biggest issue with Miles. He is a hell of a coach (underrated because of Saban in my opinion). He can recruit with the best. In addition he can spot unheralded talent and help them become stars (TM7, Mo Claiborne), he sees guys like Barksdale and Copeland and moves them from defense to critical parts of the offense and they work.

Why he can't find a QB is beyond incredible, really.

Miles' offense is predicated on running the football and not turning the ball over. He wants to let the other team do that.

I believe Mett could be really good, but his stats look horrible and he looks erratic out there. However, one good thing he hasn't done a lot of is turn the ball over. If you watch him play, he's scared to death of turning the ball over instead of making plays. I believe he's coached to not turn the ball over at all costs.

All these people saying he sucks are dumb as dirt and won't put the blame on the correct person. Lee, jj, and now Mett play scared. They take sacks, they are not accurate, but they don't turn the ball over that much.
When Lee turned the ball over two times in a row against Bama, he lost his starting job for good. Miles hates turnovers.

He hates turnovers from his QB more than his want for his QB to throw TDs.

Like billy bean said, "he hates losing more than he wants to win"

IMO, LSU can be just like Alabama's offense, Balanced!! The play calling has little to be desired!! With such a strong running attack, we should be using more play action, screen plays and crossing routes. All these things will help the WR's get off the ball and get open.

Miles and Co hasn't developed a QB since they have been at lsu. Its pretty obvious. If you don't think so, take off your purple n Gold blinders.

Maybe a lot of it has to do with how we develop the defense so well. I heard petrino had like 12 receivers on scholarship. Hence his defensive problem. We have good players on O but better players on D. I'm okay with it but agree its hard as hell to not get upset watching our offense.

At the end of the day I really don't care as long as we win. Anything can happen in college football. Keep winning and ignore the crying.

Maybe we can't recruit a stud qb is because we don't have recievers that any prospect thinks can catch a routine pass.....maybe stud qb's realize that we have lineman that could get them killed. Just maybe.....oh heck what's the use.

I'm not sure we have a coach who can recognize one. I would love to have Johnny Football slinging it for us. Hell, I would even take the Baylor QB. I think both were 3 stars.

My issue- the offense has been "dumbed down" & simplified, yet, Mett has not improved. He looked better against N Tx. That's not competition related. I'm talking about pocket prescense, drops, set up, delivery, touch, reads, telegraphing, deep balls. I just don't think he has it.

Imagine that you are a top notch QB being recruited by all the top programs in the country... after watching LSU's offense for the last few years would you come here?

Doing that would hurt the run game or don't you know that. If the defense is concerned with receivers getting behind them, then the RBs will not have so many players to run over to get stuffed on 3rd and 2.

Because the forward pass is a vast liberal media conspiracy.
