He was the waiver wire flavor of the week, and I picked him up as a defensive move, but is he worth the start? DeMarco Murray's numbers weren't all that impressive before he went down. Is Carolina's defense going to do him any favors?

Carolina's D is giving up a lot of fantasy points to opposing RB's.

Since he is a one game fill in, he may be ok.

I had him last year. It's possible that he makes it through a whole game without hurting his pussy. But it's also possible he plays 2-4 series and then hurts it. Seriously, the dude is really a giant fricking pussy.

Always has. Always will. I took a flyer on the backup to Jones.

He averages 5 ypc over his career.

Has never been under 4 ypc any season.

Can catch passes out of the backfield.

Has homerun speed.

Start him this week. This board is clueless.

He'll be a good play while Murray is out, but will likely go back to obscurity when Demarco comes back. A guy in one of my leagues spent over 1/3 of his entire FA budget for the full season on Felix, which seems a little silly IMHO.

RBs are at a premium this year more than ever. Murray is an injury prone vagina. There is a reason people have stashed Jones all season (Jones is also an injury/fumble prone pussy fwiw). No telling when Murray comes back or if he gets hurt again. Foot injuries are tricky (ie Bradshaw last season).

Jones is a must start this week. Carolina is 31st vs fantasy RBs

Has been given numerous chances at a starting job, never good enough to take it. Will always let you down.

Fixed it.

He's a borderline must start this week IMO.

However, if he fricks you, don't be surprised...

So I am not crazy for wanting to start him over Lynch, who is playing SF?

This is his 5th year in the NFL.

2008-2010 - played behind Marion Barber

Barber was a former Pro Bowler and had signed a $45 mil contract with Dallas.

Jones still had 9 ypc his rookie year, 6 ypc the next (led league) and 4.3 the next. Averaged 20 receptions a year.

2011- Injury plagued year, still averaged 4.5 and had 33 catches. Murray obviously stole the job when he went down.

2012- Here we are.

Let's see what happens

If you have a choice, roll with Felix. I picked up Tanner on FA because I don't think Felix can last in the starting role. So if Murray is out longer than expected, I'm hoping Tanner takes the lead role, or at least the goal line carries.
