How about the use of JC Copeland in the gameplans?

JC Copeland up the middle. JC Copeland in the flats. JC Copeland on a wheel route.
Converted defensive tackle gets more targets than Shep.
Will Les ever realize that we have OBJ, Landry, Shep, 5 tailbacks, and a few others that would have a little more success than JC Copeland with the ball in their hands?
Just another thought to continue spreading the joy.

I thought everyone was bitching about how predictable LSU was? I bet the defense never thought LSU would use the fullback as a top target.

with how gassed our D-line look due to them being on the field 99% of the time. I say put JC copeland in the D-line rotation since we have more then enough backs already.

These were hilarious. We need 10 yards so we swing it out to JC in the flat. There is absolutely no freakin way he will run 10 yards with the ball before being brought down. Laughable decision all around.

I agree with you and posted this yesterday:
Are we overusing JC Copeland? Or just the fullback packages in general? Rewatching the game last night, there were two crucial first downs in the first half that were passes to the JC coming out of the backfield. One was mishandled by JC and one he caught but was easily rundown by two defenders due to his lack of speed.
The rollout on second down after the fumble at the 7 was supposed to be to the fullback but Neighbors got rolled by the linebacker.
I like JC and he plays hard and hits like a freight train. But this is not 1975 and defenses sniff out traditional fullback packages. I personally would like to see 50% of the two back formations replaced by a single back or shotgun. Quit relying on the fullback!

I didn't see it. And nice job pointing out the failed attempt to Neighbors. That's just laughable and sad all rolled into 1.

I don't think giving him some touches is necessarily bad, it's just when it's done. Throw to JC on 1st and 10 for a 4-5 yd gain? Cool. Throw to JC on a pick route (!!!!) on 3rd and 10? Retarded.

Complete joke. LSU's offense is similar to a pop warner team. Run, run, run, and throw it on 3rd down. It's really a shame with all the talent on that roster that they are so vanilla offensively. I guess they do have 3-4 good backs they need to feed. You have to call plays based on your personnel but with all the offensive numbers being put up around the country its clear that LSU is way behind. Thoughts.....
