The interviewer must have dreams of working for MSNBC one day.

Why would he want his number of viewers to decline?

LINK

quote:

During an interview with ABC12 in Michigan, Paul Ryan grew frustrated with the repeated questions about gun laws and taxes — prompting him to cut short the interview altogether.

The “problems of civil society” should be what we’re focused on, Ryan argued — and that, in turn, reduces crime.

“Does this country have a gun problem?” the interviewer asked.

“This country has a crime problem,” Ryan replied, which prompted the follow-up, “Not a gun problem?”

“No, I mean if you take a look at the gun laws we have — I don’t even think President Obama’s proposing more gun laws,” he responded.

Over some crosstalk between the two, Ryan then added that we have good laws but many of them aren’t being properly enforced, which is an area of improvement.

“The best thing to help prevent violent crime in the inner cities is to bring opportunity in the inner cities,” Ryan said. “Is to help teach people good discipline, good character. That is civil society. That is what charities and civic groups and churches do to help one another make sure that they can realize the value in one another.”

“And you can do all that by cutting taxes?” the interviewer asked. “With a big tax cut?”

“Those are your words not mine,” Ryan replied.

And there the interview ended, prompted by an aide (presumably?) off-screen, and Ryan removing his mic. To the interviewer, he remarked, “That was kinda strange, you trying to stuff words in people’s mouths?”

I don't think he could of handled that any better

Thin-skinned people don't last long in politics. He'd better learn to find time for bull shite because that's what it's all about. Fail.

Please point to one serious interview Obama has done in 4 years. Univision? The guy was cringing just trying to answer serious questions and lied by saying Fast and Furious started under Bush. Try again

Troll harder my friend. That was a jackass move on the part of the reporter and Ryan handled it better than I would have. He'll, his comment didn't make any sense whatsoever.

Good. That's EXACTLY the way one should treat the media when the media is comprised primarily of fawning Obama sychophants who are trying desperately to use their influence to get Obama re-elected.

Brilliant!

I think I can see where the interviewer was heading with his comment. I think he was insinuating that the social changes and opportunities that Ryan is advocating to lessen crime are provided by social programs funded by tax dollars. Therefore, "cutting taxes" would be a detriment to these endeavors, hence the question.

However, I find it hard to believe that the reporter didn't know the time constraints of the interview. He just tried to ask a sensationalist question right before the interview ended.
