He has to be. He's turned NFL bust Alex Smith into a pretty damn good QB.
ETA: Maybe I should say, competent QB. He won't light up the stat line (excluding today) but he's no longer holding them back at that position.

He's a pretty damn good coach. He was given a pretty good team last year, he was just able to finally give them some form of an offense. That's damn impressive.

Complete obliteration on both sides of the ball. Smith with a near-perfect rating of 156.2. He was hitting the intermediate and long ball about as well as he ever has. Running game averaged over 8.2 a carry. Our play design is ridonk. Kaepernick is a hell of a weapon when he isn't fumbling.
