You think he wants to come here. I mean what receiver isn't foaming at the mouth to come to LSU

we have not gotten a high quality oos wr in 4 or 5 years. what makes you think we can get RSJ with the type offense we run. we will have to make changes to the offense and les indicated last night that the problem was the mistakes in execution and not the scheme. RSJ is becoming a long shot.

Bowtie, are you saying we need a big wr in order to throw jump balls all the time? You know that jump balls are 50/50 and are unsuccessful more than successful? Also who's gonna catch the passes that aren't jump balls? One big wr isn't going to make a huge difference in our offense. If the small wrs we have can't catch the non jump balls in order to get us into jump ball situations then what good is a jump ball wr?
Didn't see who posted it but Landry has great hands. Drops haven't been his issue. Lack of throws to him and lack of him being open are his problem. The drops we've had issues with have been committed by Boone and Beckham primarily, especially Beckham. What the frick is wrong with that kid?

Landry came here as a highly touted 5 Star recruit with great hands. I beleive that has not changed.

I am all in on this one... Yesterday should show the problem of not having a big physical WR to go to.

I respectfully say bullshite! One big 6'5" speedy pass catcher is a must even over defense right now.

he has elite size/speed but he plays all over the field. qb, safety, wr, etc; his hands probably aren't good enough to be a go to guy right off the bat.
He hasn't dedicated all of his time to the wr position yet, but he could help in some areas as a freshman

Meh. He's a big get don't get me wrong, but if there's still a shot at RN, then he's a clear cut obvious #1 priority.

RSJ is really high on the list. it is obvious by our poor red zone production that we need a big receiver even if he is used as a decoy sometimes. we had no idea what to call when we got the ball on the 8 yard line. we cannot score in the red zone.

I DO agree with Larry and others on needing a big WR for the redzone, that is the one time I think height matters at that position. The fades, jumpballs, etc. are more prominent then and favor the vertical dimension.

Huge need not just because of his talent but his size also.

It would be great to get Seals-Jones but don't forget that LSU already has a 6'4", 199 lb, 4.4 40 WR committed for next year. He is a 4 star junior college guy named Quantavius Leslie.

does anyone have any good info on how we stand with Tim Williams? TIA
Posted on 10/8/12 at 11:16 am to Ford Frenzy
Leslie and RSJ will start next year IMO for LSU
Posted on 10/8/12 at 11:21 am to Anodyne
leslie will start for sure. RSJ would be in the rotation immediately.
Posted on 10/8/12 at 11:24 am to Larry Hollins
Is he an offensive co-ordinator ?
Posted on 10/8/12 at 12:38 pm to koLSU86
Calvin Johnson wouldnt help us? Elite wrs dont drop the ball. They catch everything that hits their hands and then some. But yes i want this guy more than ever now.
