ETA: I forgot it doesn't work that way. It would've had to have been a poor p.o.s. from the shite apartment complex around the corner gets hit by a college aged male in a honda civic. That would've been a hate crime.

These sidewalks are much needed. It's like a damn block party ever Thursday through Saturday night on East Boyd, except no one closes off the street from the drunk drivers.
Side note bitch: this company has taken over four months to fill in the ditches and pour the concrete for the sidewalks. They only worked about two days a week for this project.

My little cousin was hit that night as well. Really messed him up. He was in the hospital for a long time due to brain injuries sustained. He survived but was never the same. He committed suicide a few years ago.

The project would have been more practical to start during the summer, when less people are out roaming around E Boyd after the bars close... but hey, I don't know the details of the project.

No shite, this really could have been done inside a week. But until they finish the damn thing it's more dangerous than it was before because everybody walks in the middle of the street now.
