I never carry cash either. I've been in the same situation and have discretely asked the server to ring me up for a coke and run my card. Especially if it's really good service and the bill was taken care of, I would tip 10 bucks or so.

Was she hot? If so then yes make an effort. And why don't you have any money on you? My parents always pay and know how to tip well, but I always have cash on me.
