I didn't throw anything, but I was glad people did. That deserved far more than a few boos. After about 15 minutes they were threatening forfeit, would have loved to have seen them try that.

Yeah. I was way too far into the upper deck and cherished my beer too much to throw it.

Sucks but I'm glad I saw that live. Never seen anything like that.

I probably would have called it "trashy" in the past, but for the amount of money someone spends in advance to attend these games, I'm not surprised. There isn't much a fan can do to "protest" when they have already dropped the cash. So, I say, throw shite on the field that won't hurt any body, they'll clean it up and MLB gets the hint.

I guess I just don't give a shite any more.

My EXACT thoughts. It's about damn time Atlanta fans got their dander up about something. I was in section 215 and protected under the terrace but an older lady got her head bustead open by a bottle which pretty much let us know that 'ok the fun is over'..
We were all 'daring' the umps to call a forfeit...it possibly would've gotten truly bad.
But, not gonna lie, even though I didn't throw a damn thing (nor would I ever..unless someone insulted islam ) it felt great to get out 20+ years of frustration as a Braves fan, even if only verbally.
Plus I truly expected the choke..so I bought the tickets specifically to see chipper's last game.

THe double standard is quite funny though.
We do nothing: ermagerd brerves fanz are totes lame and non passionate
We show some true emotion: ermagerd brerves fernz are totes trashzzzzz

That's pretty much my thought on it. This isn't missing a bang-bang play at first. This was just an instance of an umpire inserting himself into the game where he had no place or reason for doing so and it's really not forgivable in a game like that. Did that fat turd really think he was protecting the runners? Like they are gonna turn two from left field. Pathetic.
